In the beginning, they were the Nintendos.
2020 is a weird year. 2021 is a year, and Juan is a guy who rents a room in El Raval and records the first tracks of Mai Jamás on a drum machine, with a couple of Casios and an electric guitar. He lives with a flatmate who’s into arcade racing games, Isra, a programmer who works from home and has a very cool racing seat that sounds like people putting on new sneakers and stomping hard every time they turn the wheel.
In 2022, he moves somewhere else. He lives in a house by the beach, although he never goes to the beach. He keeps recording songs for the second album. He plays a lot of video games, and they start slipping into the tracks. Sometimes, when he gets home, he finds shopping carts in the living room or pieces of palm trees sprayed gold.
In 2023, Beautyfool Records releases his first album and he moves again. He keeps recording songs for the new album, the third one, which is actually the second, which has never come out. The second album is three albums, three times the second. On the third second, he plays Spanish guitar and sings with autotune. Maybe in 2025 he’ll release an album.
